Parking Guidance System (PGS) in City Plaza

Background

City Plaza is located opposite the government mansion and adjoined the museum, library and people's square. It’s the core area in Chengdu that integrate office building&shopping center. The underground parking lot is divided into 6 areas and has more than 1300 parking spaces, the traffic flow in the parking lot is very large. Intelligent parking guidance system (PGS) can help to improve the efficiency of parking lot operation.

Requirement

The PGS is composed of parking barrier, space monitoring camera, parking guidance LED, image display, automatic settlement and other systems, it has greatly improved the usability of the parking lot and has reduced the time spent on searching the space and paying fees, achieving the intelligent management of vehicles. To ensure the real-time image transmission and the stability of the network, we adopt 3onedata full-Gigabit industrial Ethernet switch.

3onedata Solution

In the PGS, the space monitoring cameras are connected with full-Gigabit Ethernet switch IES7112G by RSTP (rapid spanning tree protocol), which offers redundancy function for these cameras and uploads the video frames to the data center by optic fiber. The entrance cabinet, cameras and controllers are connected with IES7112G directly. With the usage of VLAN, different data flows will be separated. The rack-mounted switch IES5028G with high bandwidth switching capacity can transmit the data and interact with the central system. In this way, the efficient transmission of the PGS network is guaranteed.
